You know those moments that feel like a proper win? Well, Chris Curtis – the MP for Milton Keynes North – is having one of those right now. Not only is he lacing up for the London Marathon, but he’s also smashed his £2,500 fundraising target for Willen Hospice… and honestly, he couldn’t be more chuffed.

Now, this isn’t just any charity run for Chris. Willen Hospice holds a special place in his heart – they’ve supported his own family through some tough times, and he’s seen first-hand the love and expertise they bring to every patient and family they care for.

“They were there when we needed them,” Chris says. “So this run is personal.”

And here’s the beautiful part: every penny raised is going towards the incredible work Willen Hospice does – especially through their ‘Willen at Home’ team. Picture this: expert nurses, doctors, and healthcare assistants showing up with warmth, compassion, and skill, helping people with life-limiting illnesses stay at home, surrounded by loved ones. That’s what your donations are funding. And yes, it’s as vital and powerful as it sounds.

Chris adds, “I’ll be thinking of them with every step I take on marathon day – every ache, every mile, it’s worth it to support what they do.”

But he’s not stopping at just running. Back in Westminster, Chris is also campaigning hard for a long-term funding solution so that hospices like Willen aren’t just scraping by – they’re thriving. “Until we get that commitment, they need our help. And I’m proud to be part of that.”

And to those who’ve already chipped in? Chris has a message: “Thank you – truly. Your generosity is helping Willen continue to do what they do best: making life a little easier, a little brighter, for people going through the toughest of times.”
