Step Back in Time at Midsummer Place with “A Dance Down Memory Lane” to celebrate V E Day
Midsummer Place will be filled with nostalgia and celebration on Thursday 8 May as it hosts a very special VE Day event, with Horizon Radio proudly supporting the occasion.
Running at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, the event promises a two-hour musical journey through the 1940s, 50s and 60s, led by the energetic team from Ragdolly Annas. Specially designed for care home residents, it blends memory, music, and movement in the heart of the shopping centre’s Boulevard.
The performance will begin with the announcement of war, travelling through key moments in history to the jubilant celebrations of VE Day and beyond, all soundtracked by iconic songs of the time.
"We're really proud to be hosting such a meaningful and uplifting event at Midsummer Place," says Kirsty McGiff, Marketing Manager at Midsummer Place. "It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together, in commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of V E Day."
Whether you're enjoying the music, watching the dancing or simply soaking in the atmosphere, visitors are invited to join the fun – and perhaps enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of tea from the food court while they do.
Horizon Radio is proud to support this moving and memorable event, celebrating our shared history and community spirit.
