Boulevard Unplugged: Amy Birks

From singing at the Royal Albert Hall as a child to performing at major events like Silverstone Woodlands F1 and MotoGP, Amy Birks is an emerging singer-songwriter making waves in the indie pop and country music scene. Having lived in India, Nigeria, and Bulgaria, her music is shaped by a diverse range of cultural influences.

Teaching herself guitar at 12 by watching YouTube videos, Amy began posting covers and original songs online in 2019. Her songwriting, inspired by real-life experiences, took shape during her secondary school years, blending music with creative storytelling.

Since her debut live performance at HMV’s Live & Local Sessions in 2023, Amy has played at venues across Milton Keynes, including The Patch MK, Unity Place, and Walton Fest. She has also shared her journey with GCSE and A-Level music students, highlighting the importance of networking in the industry.

Amy’s debut single I See Through Smoke launched in June 2024, followed by Me and My Mind in November 2024, which gained recognition on BBC Music Introducing. Influenced by artists like Taylor Swift, Holly Humberstone, and Billie Eilish, Amy continues to craft heartfelt, relatable songs that connect with audiences.
