Chris Gregg - Managing Director

Chris Gregg is a seasoned radio broadcaster with 25 years of experience leading successful broadcasting teams across Leeds, Manchester, and Milton Keynes. His extensive career includes roles as Programme Controller at Heart in Milton Keynes from 2006 to 2010 and founding MKFM, where he also served as Programme Director. More recently, Chris was Managing Director of Revolution Radio in Northampton, further cementing his leadership in the industry.

Chris’s earlier achievements include a seven-year tenure as Programme Manager at a full-service local radio station in Oldham, where he achieved the station’s highest-ever audience figures, amassing over a million total listening hours. He also played a key role in organizing outside broadcasts, roadshows, and community events.

Holding a Bachelor of Broadcasting degree from Leeds University, in conjunction with BBC Training, Chris has a strong academic foundation that complements his hands-on experience. He has also worked as an Assistant Producer for the urban TV channel Just Fabulous on Sky Digital.

As Managing Director of Horizon Radio, Chris brings his wealth of expertise, creative vision, and leadership to drive the station’s continued success.

Richard Boyd - Commercial Director

Richard Boyd brings a wealth of experience in event management and promotion, both in the UK and internationally. With a solid foundation in the Hospitality and Leisure industry, Richard has an innate ability to understand what the public desires, coupled with the perseverance to ensure every project reaches its full potential.

As the founder and driving force behind RB Events, his strategic vision has rapidly propelled the company to become one of the UK's fastest-growing independent concert promoters. Under his leadership, RB Events boasts a roster of some of the biggest names in live music and entertainment, cementing Richard's reputation as a leader in the industry.

At Horizon Radio, Richard's expertise and commercial insight play a pivotal role in shaping the station's ongoing success and growth.

N Leigh Hunt - Director

N Leigh Hunt is a highly accomplished crime author and experienced radio presenter, bringing a wealth of international expertise to Horizon Radio. Originally from South Africa and the USA, N Leigh has had a successful career in radio, honing his presenting skills and building a loyal listenership. His unique background as a crime historian adds depth to his broadcasting style, offering a fresh and engaging perspective to his work in the UK.

As a Director at Horizon Radio, N Leigh leverages his storytelling abilities and broadcasting experience to contribute to the station's innovative and dynamic programming.

Nik Fox - Director

Nik is a very experienced radio and transmission engineer with a love of horses.

Nick Lowther - Deputy Programme Controller

Nick Lowther brings a rich technical background and diverse experience to his role as Deputy Programme Director at Horizon Radio. His journey in the radio industry began in 2012 when he served as the Technical Manager of a Milton Keynes-based radio station, honing his skills in sound engineering, audio installations, and technical maintenance.

Alongside his radio work, Nick's career with Real Music MK, a live events company, saw him take on key responsibilities in sound engineering and audio system installations for various live events. In addition to his extensive audio expertise, Nick is also a Real Estate Technology Project Manager for a major international company, further strengthening his technical knowledge in IT and project management.

Nick’s broad skill set and technical know-how make him a vital part of Horizon Radio’s programming team.

David Hellier - Diversity Content Coordinator

David Hellier is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in broadcasting, bringing both his heritage and community connections to his role as Diversity Coordinator at Horizon Radio. With previous experience at Community Radio Milton Keynes and Channel 5, Milton Keynes Hospital Radio, David has honed his skills in delivering engaging content for a broad audience.

His personal mission is to ensure the station caters to the Asian listenership in the area, using his cultural background to create meaningful and inclusive programming. Outside of radio, David enjoys the support of his two children, who are proud listeners of his work on air.

His commitment to representation and community engagement makes him a key figure at Horizon Radio.
